
Summer Intensive: Audition Information
Any student aged 12 to 20 may audition for New Jersey Ballet’s 3-Week Summer Intensive during our Audition Tour. Students must be 12 years old by the beginning of the program on July 14th, 2025.
NJB will hold in-person auditions and Zoom audition classes. If you cannot attend one of these, don’t worry, video submissions are also accepted.
Important Details:
You must register with the age group you are on the day of the audition.
If your plans change after you complete pre-registration for a particular audition class or video submission, you may switch audition classes or between an in-person and video audition. To make this switch contact info@njballet.org
Accepted students are invited to the program based on artistic evaluation.
If accepted into the program, you will be required to submit proof of age.
What is the cost of the audition?
In-person Auditions
Pre-Registration Cost: $35.00
Walk-up costs: $40.00
Prospective students can Pre-Register for an in-person audition. After the pre-registration deadline for each location, day of registrations (walk-ins) are accepted. Please note, there is a cost increase for day of registrations. Space for each audition could be limited, therefore, pre-registration is highly recommended. Results for in-person auditions will be sent out within 7 days of the audition.
Video Auditions
Video Audition Cost: $35.00
Results for video submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis and sent beginning January 1st, 2025. The deadline for video submissions will be March 1st, 2025.
Important Details:
All applicants must submit two photos on the application form: one in tendu à la seconde and one in relevé first arabesque. Photos do not have to be professionally taken and should be taken in practice clothes.
Pre-registration and video audition fees are only accepted via credit card through online audition registration.
Walk-up audition fees are accepted via credit card, cash, or check.
All audition fees are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable regardless of circumstance!
