  • Series Opening Night

    Community Theater at the Mayo Center

    New Jersey Ballet will kick off its 2010-2011 series at The Community Theatre at Mayo Center in Morristown on November 20. The Opening Night show will feature the New Jersey premiere of Masquerade, a spin around an imaginary ballroom spiced up with a playful bit of mistaken identity. Choreographer Bettijane Sills was with New York City Ballet for twelve years, dancing principal roles in Balanchine’s Jewels and Jerome Robbins’ The Concert, among others. Ms. Sills is a repetiteur for the Balanchine Trust and a tenured professor at SUNY Purchase. Also on the program, Robert North’s heart-wrenching Death and the Maiden. The company’s Saturday Night Series at The Community Theatre is sponsored in part by the F. M. Kirby Foundation.
